Invincible Ironman 509

Tony Stark gets a new suit after returning from the cauldron. He is still alive and the suit packs a mean character which looks like a destroyer. What comes next is the dwarfs has captured the smoke elves that has been trying to kill Tony by casting the spell to create a golem. The dwarf makes it a point for Tony to be the executioner. But Tony wouldn't have any of it and even forbade anyone from executing the elves. Th dwarfs goes berserk and  pushed away Tony to execute the culprits but Tony changed into his new Ironman suit and that stopped everyone right on its track. He then frees the elves.


Meanwhile Pepper Potts is saved when in the last minute the grey gargoyle is summoned by its master the Serpent to rejoin him. The gargoyle chuck her away leaving her stranded in Paris and needed help to get back. In the last panel Ironman prepares for battle when he rejoins the avengers in New York in his new suit and bearing new weapons in what proves to be a battle of life and death. A very straightforward issue which leads to the ultimate final battle.

Invincible Ironman 508

Tony is covered in mud. He is of course being attacked by golem and there is no easy way out of it but TOny managed to break free and suit up in his iron suit. But the golem has the capability to mimic ironman and shapeshifted to Ironman. The golem started to suck the life out of TOny and depleted Tony's energy. The intervention of the dwarves saves the day as all of them band together to whack the golem. Tony woke up just in time and use his remaining energy reserves to blast the golem to smithereens.

Meanwhile Pepper Potts and the Hammer industries mech suits confronted the Grey Gargoyle. The Hammer mechs starts to panic and shoots everything there is. The pissed off Grey Gargoyle takes out a few mechs but Pepper does the crazy thing by neck locking the gargoyle. The gargoyle gets hold of Pepper and wrings the helmet off her suit exposing her to the deadly stare of Grey Gargyle. Theres nothing she can do but shut her eyes or else face death by turning to stone. The Hammer mechs being cowards escaped leaving Pepper to face the Gargyle alone. How will she escape from the clutches of death with Ironman no where near.

Meanwhile at asgard, Odin demands to see the newly forged weapons that is made by Stark and the dwarfs. Stark has nothing to show but he knows all along his destiny is in his own iron suit as he plunged into the cauldron of hot metal to forge the ultimate Ironman suit. How this will happen are not exactly known but I guess in the realm of the gods anything can happen if you have the will. Can't wait for the unveiling of the new iron suit.

Invincible Ironman 507

Stark is still in Asgard getting drunk in the midst of building weapons to stop the Serpent. He keeps on drinking unknowingly someone has put a curse on him. Some shadowy hooded figures plotted by getting Stark's facial hair and implanting it on a golem, the golem thus wakes up with sole purpose to finish off Stark.




Meanwhile Pepper Potts in her new armor suit is in Paris the place of devastation caused by the Grey Gargoyle. She chanced upon the Hammer Corps bunch of armored mercenaries there on a mission to retrieve a comrade. A confrontation ensues and things got more crazy when the Grey Gargoyle joins in the fray. But none can stop Grey Gargoyle and both Pepper and the Hammer mercenaries ends up in the clutches of the Gargoyle. On the other end, the drunkard and distracted Stark is busy getting drowned in sand. The golem is fast completing its mission in ending Stark's life. Lets see how he gets out of this.

Invincible Iron Man 506

There is not much of action in this issue compared to previous. The opening scene has Stark screaming and pleading his case of the dangers of the Serpent god to Odin while getting drunk. He finally strikes a deal to enable him to use Odin's workshop to manufacture new weapons capable of defeating the Serpent. But there's a catch as Odin gives Stark only time until Serpent conquers earth or else earth will be razed. Then Stark has to deal with the dwarves that operates the workshop. So the story is mostly about Stark having to convince the dwarves and get them on his side in his mission to manufacture the best weapons there is. There are a lot of dialogue and arguing even Stark having a brawl with a dwarf so that he gets his point across but he managed to achieve that in the end. And with booze as celebration.



Meanwhile the action shifts a gear as Pepper Potts suit up in an iron suit and arrived in Paris to check on the damage caused by the Grey Gargoyle. Unbeknownst to her there is anothers team of suits working for the Hammer industries already at the site to retrieve Detroit Steel that was turned to stone by the gargoyle previously. The team is jittery enough on inspecting the scene as all of human in the city in turned to stone. They spotted something moving and starts shooting with Potts trying to flee from the scene. The Grey Gargoyle watches from a distance and should make a meal of the team in the next issue. Potts now has to face the Hammer team first in the meantime.

Invincible Iron Man #505

Part of on going mega event fear itself, this issue has Ironman in the middle of a battle with a supervillain named Grey Gargoyle. Grey Gargoyle has just turn most of the people in the city of Paris into stones from previous issue. As this gargoyle character wields a new weapon, a hammer that dropped from the sky from the asgardian world, this villain outmatched Ironman in every fight. That is until a dubious hero in armor Detroit Steel intercept while Ironman is down on its knees. But saving Ironman is the last thing he do as the villain deflect and repel all his attack and rips his armor apart revealing the guy inside. As expected on exposure to the gargoyle he turned to stone.

Ironman manage to subdue the gargoyle soon after using laser sword but in doing so drained out his armor's energy forcing him to return to headquarters to repair the suit. This encounter between the two is not over yet and definitely will not end that early seeing how the fear events unfolds slowly.

Mostly a lot of action in this issue, with highlighting of some happenings in Stark headquarters where Pepper Potts is trying to handle every chaos that is happening there.

Ironman #16

Starts off with scene where Tony extracts info from the surviving terrorist that hijacks a ship. Here he is still trying to piece out why all the multiple random terrorists acts keeps cropping up. And well funded at that.

Also he's still trying to track down the Najeeb guy since from last issue where the guy disappears in China. Whats in China? Well there is a long forgotten powerful villain imprisoned in a jail cell there and this Najeeb dude is trying real hard to get to him. In this issue its finally revealed who the villain really is, an old enemy of Ironman minus the green skin but is still deadly as demonstrated by him in decapatitating a few of the goons thats trying to break him out. Ironman running out of badguys already...
